HEADLINES

First-quarter US car sales are up as reported by leading automakers, with a few exceptions like Toyota, whose sales slump as a result of supply chain issues. (Read here)

Volkswagen recalls over 143,000 vehicles. The issue? Defective passenger detection systems in 2018-2021 Atlas and 2020 Atlas Cross Sport models. (Read here)

Private recordings were shared internally at Tesla, according to nine former employees interviewed by Reuters. Videos ranged from being embarrassing in nature to capturing serious events like accidents. (Read here)

Honda recalls over 500,000 CR-V’s over rust concerns. Model years 2007 to 2011 are affected by the recall and will receive a new support brace or overall frame repair from dealers to fix the problem. (Read here)

New Hampshire is fighting for internal combustion engines as demonstrated in a recent vote by the NH House of Representatives. The proposed bill would require New Hampshire to follow in California’s footsteps by banning gas and diesel-powered vehicles by 2035. (Read here)

Carvana is buying fewer cars and increasing sell through rate as they focus on moving existing inventory to combat current economic conditions. (Read here)
